Each section will provide 4 teams. Two teams in the A section and 2 Teams in the B Section.
Each team to have 4 players playing singles & 1 doubles pair.
If need be, singles players may also play as the doubles pair.
A Pool – Two teams of 4 players seeded in strength 1-8.
Pool B – Two teams of 4 players with teams of equal strength.
Doubles
Player's strength should be representative of the pools in which they are playing in. Player combinations may change from one round to another.
Each fixture consists of 5 matches. A fixture is won by the team with the most amount of matches won. All games contribute towards the totat score.
Best of 5 Games apply for both pools, singles and doubles.
Pool A section - Each game is played to 11 points.
Pool B section - Each game is played to 15 points.
If the game becomes tied at 1O-10 (A section or 14-14 (B section) , it's "win by 2" .
Bonus points are allocated to the winning team for every match won. Example, if Team A
beat team B, 4-1 in matches, team A qualifies for 4 bonus points.
Power play - Each player has 1 powerplay per game, singles and doubles. If the player that has catted the powerplay wins the point, he is allocated 2 points, if he loses the point, the opponent is only allocated 1 point. Power play in singles matches can only be
catted up to point 8, and in doubles up to point 12. It is the players responsibility to make sure that the referee has acknowledged the powerplay.
Score sheets: Each team captain must hand-over the results to the tournament organiser as soon as possible after each match.
Completed score cards must be signed by both captains and handed over after each round.
Ball: The double yellow dot ball should be used, unless both players agree to play with a different ball.
Disputes: Any disputes must be communicated to the tournament organiser and will be settled by the Tournament referee
Refrereeing: All games should be refereed by members of the competing teams.
Standard WSF rules apply.
Player positions. Once the teams have been finalized at the captains meeting' plays must stay in their order for the entire tournament. A player is allowed to play singles and doubles during the same fixture
B Section player is allowed to play doubles in the A section, however, an A section player is not allowed to play in the B section, if this does take place' it will be an automatic 3-0 result for the opponents.
